The state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to France has ended

The busy program of the historic state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the French Republic has ended.

During his stay in Paris, the head of state held fruitful negotiations with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Following the summit, a Joint Declaration on the establishment of strategic partnership relations was adopted, as well as a solid package of agreements in various areas of cooperation.

The leader of our country took part in the work of the round table with the heads of leading companies, banks and organizations of France. The Program of cooperation in investment and innovation spheres was adopted, providing for the implementation of specific cooperation projects in the amount of 6.5 billion euros.

For his significant contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan was awarded the Legion of Honor, the highest award of the French Republic.

During the visit, meetings were held with the President of the National Assembly of France Yael Braun-Pivet and the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo. A ceremony was held to name one of the streets of Paris after Samarkand.

During negotiations with UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, prospects for further development of cooperation and issues of preparation for the 43rd session of the General Conference of the organization in the city of Samarkand were discussed.

At the end of the visit, the leader of Uzbekistan was seen off at Orly International Airport by French Minister of Sports and Youth Marie Barsac and other officials.

The head of our state left for the city of Tashkent.
